Inspect to Plan

Asbestos Materials

Historically, asbestos was part of many materials used in construction. In your home, asbestos was used in floor tiles, black mastic, popcorn (textured) ceilings, vinyl flooring, some insulation that contains vermiculite, cement composites, and many heat resistant products in homes and businesses.

If disturbed, asbestos is dangerous. Breathing air that contains asbestos particles over a long period of time can be hazardous to your health and should be avoided. Over long periods of time, you can run the risk of contracting mesothelioma or lung cancer.
